A small step for hard weeks
When the world feels too much
A few of you have shared that things feel particularly hard right now - your anxiety is louder, the days heavier, the wintry weather stretching on. I want you to know that I really get that.
I don’t believe the answer is about fixing yourself or feeling better fast. It’s about having something steady to hold when things feel hard.
So here’s this week’s small step:
Allow today to be unimpressive.
Not a breakthrough.
Not productive.
Just a day you move through.
You do what needs doing. You rest where you can. You don’t push for insights or improvements.
When the world feels heavy, simply getting through the day is plenty enough. Ordinary days still count - and usually they’re exactly what we need.
So if today feels like one of those days, you’re not failing. You’re responding normally to a genuinely demanding moment in time.
Be gentle with yourself. That’s the work this week.
