I’m Louise, and I’m the creator of Seeking Calm. We’re committed to helping you to feel more calm and in control of your overthinking, by using effective tools that you can practise anywhere. We believe that worrying gets in the way of you making the most of this one precious life.

Seeking Calm is our newest online home and I’m so excited that you’re here with us! If you're new in this space, know that you are very welcome. This is where, every second Sunday, we will share actionable tips and inspiration so you can manage your overthinking and improve your day-to-day life. It's also where we’ll share our plans and progress with the WorryTree app and our other tools. And most of all it's where we'll share any helpful resources that we've come across recently that we think might help you too.  

But wait, who am I?

Hi, I’m Louise. I'm the creator of Seeking Calm and the WorryTree app.

I created the WorryTree app after being diagnosed with Generalised Anxiety Disorder and being referred for a series of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) sessions.

During my CBT sessions, I learned to catch worries and negative thoughts in the act, as they were happening, record and challenge them and where possible deal with them or change them. I worked hard to follow my therapist's homework suggestions but found it hard to stick to the techniques I was using.

My greatest passion is finding ways to help other people use these great CBT tools daily so that they too can create new thinking habits and stop excessive worry and overthinking for good!
